There will be three events where attendees can attend any and all of the following:
SELF-GUIDED VIEWING OF AFRICAN AMERICAN NAMES FROM THE 1700s and 1800s:
TIME: 1:30 - 2:30 - MARLBOROUGH CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
ADDRESS: 35 South Main Street, Marlborough CT
CEREMONIAL DEDICATION
TIME: 2:30 - 3:30 - MARLBOROUGH'S CENTURY CEMETERY
ADDRESS: 15 School Drive, Marlborough CT (diagonally across the street from the church)
LECTURER: Dr. Camesha Scruggs
TIME: 3:30 - 4:30 - RICHMOND MEMORIAL LIBRARY
ADDRESS: 15 School Drive, Marlborough CT, second floor conference room
A reception will follow the Ceremonial Dedication and Lecture.
Times between events may change slightly.
Parking is available at the Marlborough Congregational Church and Richmond Memorial Library.
The mission of the Marlborough Preservation Society is to promote, educate and advocate for the preservation of the town's history in regards to sites, structures, buildings, and/or objects.
Through the collective efforts of the society and the community we can preserve the town's history.
Marlborough Preservation Society is a community-based non-profit organization focused on education, promotion, and preservation of the town's history. With the help of our tireless staff, we organize fundraisers, exciting community-building events, and in-depth training sessions for our community.
